In the beer industry, new consumer preferences evolve clearly, evolving from traditional prices, taste and availability to those related to a variety of choices (including healthier choices), transparency in operation, product safety and quality, social impact, care for natural well-being and general consumer experience.

The popularity of beer in Poland is growing every year.

At the moment, about 97 liters of beer are consumed per person every year at the Vistula, which gives us the fourth place in Europe. According to the latest research, in 2018, 40.93 million hectoliters of beer were produced, by 2.6%. more than in 2017. Sales are also growing very quickly. According to a recent survey, last year its value amounted to PLN 16.8 billion, ie it is 7.7% more year on year. The difference is also visible in the amount of alcohol sold. Last year, 4.1% more liters disappeared from store shelves than 12 months earlier.

Last year also brought an interesting observation of the changing tastes of Poles.

The segment of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beers contributed to a real revolution, and sales in terms of value increased by almost 80%. Virtually 90% of the money spent on purchases, including packaging, professional and market research services in Poland, raw materials from the agricultural industry and food processing, rests on the Vistula River. In total, industry generated PLN 19.4 billion of added value in 2018. Only in the breweries themselves there are about them. 9.3 thousand employees. However, if we add to this job in industries related to brewing, primarily in trade, agriculture and food processing as well as hotel and catering, the total number of jobs related to beer reaches 157.5 thousand.
